Harry Potter Wizard Chess Set
A very affordable Harry Potter chess set to give as a gift young kids who already enjoy Harry Potter books and films. It would also serve as a great idea to introduce chess game to kids. By boosting their creativity and imagination, Harry Potter's magical world helps develop their analytical skills with joy as well on this chess board.
The set was inspired by the famous battle scene in Sorcerer's Stone film. The details of the replicas are very good, especially Harry and Ron. The pieces look great eventhough they are made from plastic. There is only one minor negative here. The pieces can easily break apart if not handled with care. Overall, it is a very nice addition to any Harry Potter collection or serves as an excellent chess introduction gift for youngsters.
Harry Potter Final Challenge Chess Set
This is a top quality chess set which would be easily used as a decorative chess set as well. The detailed pieces from Sorcerer's Stone movie and board are quite impressive and valuable as artistic objects. It is a special collectible by prestigious Noble Collection company which is famous for their collectible swords, daggers and knives.
Harry Potter Wizard Chess (Rare Collectible Edition)
Note that this set is basically identical to Harry Potter chess set which I have introduced to you at the beginning, with one exception. It is quite expensive because it is a rare collectible for Harry Potter now. 2002 edition and not available from manufacturer anymore.
Isle of Lewis Chess Set
Exact replica from the Harry Potter The Sorcerer's Stone movie. Each piece is made from stone resin and finished by antique ivory and unique oldish brown.
You get the chess board as well. If you wonder where Isle of Lewis name comes, I will inform you. These are one of the few complete medieval chess sets survived until today. Original set dates back to 12th century with 78 chess pieces (made from walrus ivory!). It was discovered in 1831 on the Isle of Lewis, Scotland. So, Harry Potter scene was actually a very meaningful tribute to history and chess.
